Well, things aren't normal tonight.  My night music post is just something I popped in the microwave for ya.  More The Midnight - like an hour - because I am overcompensating.  And, an album by Joe Jackson, because the Donald Fagen post reminded me of it....  I'll insert Moody Blues album, because it also has the NYC Gershwin feel...

All of you know George Gershwin's, "Rhapsody in Blue."  Written in 1924.  An exciting time.  I like comparing different versions of classical music compositions, especially this one.  Well, here is a version which expresses Gershwin's original mood and intention - because it incorporates Gershwin himself playing the piano in 1924 - using the piano ( Read more... )
